The event may have been honouring the efforts of several trailblazing female journalists.

But Eva Longoria and Olivia Munn appeared to steal the show in their sexy mini dresses.

The two talented actresses scintillated as they hit the blue carpet at the International Womenís Media Foundation 26th Annual Courage in Journalism Awards in Beverly Hills on Tuesday night.

The famous pair turned heads in their stylish frocks while arriving at the event held at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Los Angeles.

Eva, aged 40, along with editor-in-chief of Glamour magazine, Cindi Leive, served as hosts for the special night.

The former star of Desperate Housewives stunned in a bright red long-sleeved mini dress complete with a scarf tied around the collar.

Eva was quite pleased with how well her preparations turned out as she posted a picture posed in between beauty expert Ken Paves and her make-up artist.

Olivia, 35, proudly displayed her svelte figure in a black and navy blue strapless number which she teamed with shiny gold heels featuring a burgundy and gold bow at the front.

The Newsroom actress wore her brunette tresses down flowing over her shoulders as she sported natural, make-up on her face highlighted by a swipe of bright pink lipstick.

Olivia was on hand to present the IWMF Courage award to Honduran journalist Lourdes Ramirez who has put her life on the line for both her country and her profession.

Modern Family actress Julie Bowen was also in attendance in a black and yellow dress featuring a gradient design and small cut outs around the torso.

The International Women's Media Foundation is an organisation that is based in Washington DC dedicated to strengthening the voices of women worldwide.
